OpenAI Dots alternative for building and hosting your website

Short answer: if you want a website built and hosted inside ChatGPT, OpenAI's own tool for that is Sites, and its pricing page lists Sites on Plus and Pro and Dots on Pro only. Grok Bot can build pages on its computer and preview them in chat, but we found no official one-click hosting, so you publish to a host you pick. What OpenAI's pages say
On chatgpt.com/pricing, the rows read "Plan: Plus, Feature: Sites, Yes" and "Plan: Pro, Feature: Dots, Yes", while "Plan: Plus, Feature: Dots, No". The Sites page says "Describe what you want to build, refine it with ChatGPT, then publish and share it with others." and "Rename your ChatGPT-hosted URL or connect a custom domain you own."
What a dot is for
OpenAI describes a dot this way: "Think of your dot as an extension of you. It learns how you work, spots what needs attention, and uses its own computer to move your projects forward." Website hosting on OpenAI's side is the Sites feature.
Can Grok Bot deploy or host a website itself?
Not that we could find on an official page, so we won't claim it. What xAI does say: "Bots can use many browser-based tools, including services without a connector." So a Bot can work in your site builder, and it can make files you preview in chat: "Files, images, links, and tool results appear as cards in the conversation." You choose the host and press publish.
Stay with OpenAI if...
Stay with OpenAI if you want to describe a site and get it hosted in the same app, on a ChatGPT-hosted URL or your own domain. That's a real strength, and it's in OpenAI's own words above.
When Grok Bot fits better
When the website is one of several jobs. A Bot that edits your site can also draft posts from your job photos or watch competitors, and xAI's rule of thumb still applies: "Require approval for sending, purchasing, deleting, publishing, or changing production systems."
