Grok Bot routine
Grok Bot routine: CEO morning brief in 5 minutes Schedule: Daily 7:30 Every morning, read my calendar for today, my unread emails from the last 24h and yesterday's revenue. Send me a brief: (1) meetings with one prep note each, (2) emails that need my reply with a suggested one-line answer, (3) money in/out, (4) the 3 highest-leverage tasks for today. Keep it under 200 words. Rules: draft first, never send or post anything external without my approval. Keep summaries short.
In Grok Bot, back this with an Ask first rule in Settings → General → Auto-review, such as "Ask first before sending any message". How approvals work

n8n workflow: CEO morning brief in 5 minutes When: Daily 7:30 1. Create a new workflow. Add a Schedule Trigger (daily). 2. Add nodes that fetch the inputs this routine needs (Gmail, Google Sheets, your CRM, etc.). 3. Add an AI Agent node (connect your model: OpenAI, Anthropic, or another provider) and paste this as the system prompt: Every morning, read my calendar for today, my unread emails from the last 24h and yesterday's revenue. Send me a brief: (1) meetings with one prep note each, (2) emails that need my reply with a suggested one-line answer, (3) money in/out, (4) the 3 highest-leverage tasks for today. Keep it under 200 words. 4. Send the output to yourself first (Gmail draft, Slack or Telegram message). Add a "Send and wait for response" / approval step before anything goes to a customer. 5. Test with "Execute workflow", check the output, then activate it.

FAQ
What does the routine builder make?
A copy-ready routine prompt for Grok Bot, plus ChatGPT, Claude and n8n versions, built from one of our 46 free templates with the schedule and approval rule you pick. It runs in your browser, and the link updates as you choose, so you can share or bookmark the exact routine.
Which approval rule should I start with?
Drafts only. Start in draft mode: the agent prepares, you approve, then you loosen the leash routine by routine. Move to Ask before sending once the drafts are right, and keep Allow listed actions for small, low-risk steps you name yourself, such as adding labels.
How do I add the routine in Grok Bot?
Paste the Grok Bot version into a chat with the Bot that owns the job and ask it to set it up as a routine. Use Test before you turn the schedule on: xAI's docs say a test run performs real work, so use safe inputs. Routine schedules must be at least five minutes apart, and each run spends usage (Grok Bot help: Routines).
Will Grok Bot follow the approval rule on its own?
Treat the rule in the prompt as an instruction and back it with Auto-review in Settings → General → Auto-review. An Ask first rule makes the Bot stop for your OK. Allow automatically rules let a matching action go ahead only when the automated review finds no other reason to stop, and if both match, Ask first wins (xAI's Approvals docs).
