Summary

As of 20 Oct 2026, the WhatShouldMyBotDo library has 46 Grok Bot routines, each with 4 versions (Grok Bot, ChatGPT, Claude, n8n), 184 templates in all.

22 of the 46 run daily or every weekday, and 11 start when something happens instead of on a clock. The most common job type is the Chief of Staff / CEO agent (11 routines). Gmail / email is the app used most (24 routines), and invoices & admin is the most common time drain they target (13).

All 46 Grok Bot templates are drafts-first: the routine prepares the work and waits for the owner's approval before anything goes out.

Methodology

  • Library numbers are counted by code from the routine data that powers this site (src/data/library.ts), then frozen as a snapshot when the edition is published, so the numbers in an edition never change afterward.
  • Job type is the agent each routine belongs to. Role counts include routines built for that role plus the routines marked for every business; the two trades-only routines count only for trades.
  • Cadence comes from each routine's schedule text, in this order: daily or weekdays first, then monthly, then a named weekday or weekly, then launch week as one-off; everything else (always on, when a message, call, payment, meeting or upload arrives) counts as when something happens.
  • Time drains and apps can have several per routine, so those columns add up to more than the total.
  • Public counts were read by hand from the official xAI pages listed under Sources on the date shown. Counts from unofficial sites are left out of this report. Hours-saved figures are estimates on the site and are not used here.
