Will my Grok Bot usage last the week?

Tell us roughly how many bots you run and how often each one wakes. Add the % of weekly usage you've used so far, and we'll project it to day 7 from your own numbers. Then you get the savings that matter most for your setup.

xAI doesn't publish how big the weekly pool is, or how much one wake or run uses. So we never guess token numbers. We count your wakes (plain arithmetic) and draw a straight line from your own usage meter. Everything happens in your browser. What you type isn't stored or sent.

Want routine-by-routine detail, a CSV usage audit and a chat-history check? Use the full Grok Bot usage planner.

Usage check

1. Your bots and how often they wake

One row per group of bots that wake on the same schedule. A wake is one scheduled run of a routine.

2. Your usage meter (optional, gives the real answer)

Open Settings > Usage & Billing in Grok Bot, or Usage at grok.com/dashboard on The X Subscription. Both show how much of this week's usage you've used and when it resets.

Your result

Moderate (rule of thumb)

Enough wakes, big jobs or long chats that it depends on how much each one does. Add your % used above for a real projection.

Without your meter we can't say whether this lasts the week: xAI doesn't publish the size of the weekly pool or the cost of a wake. This read compares wake counts only.

3 bots, 182 scheduled wakes a week. Arithmetic from your rows, not a usage figure. Chats you start yourself aren't counted here, but they use usage too.

Your biggest savings, ranked for your setup

  1. Wake less often

Each run spends usage, and a routine that doesn't run doesn't. Moving each frequent schedule one step down (every 15 or 30 minutes to hourly, hourly to a few times a day) cuts 147 of your scheduled wakes a week. Schedules must be at least five minutes apart.

  2. Start on an event instead of checking on a timer

A routine can start when something happens, such as a Slack message, an email to your Bot's own address or a webhook call, so it only runs when there's work. Keep triggers narrow: xAI says broad listeners such as every new message consume usage.

  3. Add quiet hours

Your bots that run through the night don't need to check while you sleep. Skipping 8 night hours cuts 56 wakes a week from those bots. Ask your Bot to skip nights and closed days in the schedule.

  4. Use a fresh chat per task

Usage is measured by agent steps and tokens, not messages, and longer jobs use more. A Bot working in a long chat has more history behind every turn. Give each job its own Bot and chat, and duplicate a Bot when its chat has run for a long time. The copy keeps its settings, skills and routines.

  5. Merge bots that wake on the same schedule

Since each run spends usage, two routines that check the same app at the same time cost two runs. One routine that does both jobs is one run.

Ranked by how many of your wakes each one touches, and by your chat habit. A rule of thumb, not a usage measurement.

FAQ

Will my Grok Bot usage last the week?

Check your meter: Settings > Usage & Billing in Grok Bot, or Usage at grok.com/dashboard on The X Subscription, shows how much of this week's usage you've used and your reset date. Enter that % and the day of your usage week in this tool and it projects a straight line to day 7. xAI doesn't publish the pool size, so nobody can tell you from your schedules alone.

How much usage does one Grok Bot wake or routine run use?

xAI and Cursor don't publish a number. Cursor's Grok Bot help says usage is measured by agent steps and tokens rather than messages, and that larger or longer agent jobs use more. That's why this tool counts wakes and reads your own meter instead of guessing tokens.

When does my Grok Bot usage reset?

Your included usage refreshes weekly (x.ai/pricing), but no single reset day or time is published for everyone. Your own reset date is in Settings > Usage & Billing, or Usage at grok.com/dashboard. If you run out first, you can buy top-ups or wait for the refresh.

What uses the most Grok Bot usage?

Frequent schedules and big jobs. Each run spends usage, an hourly schedule or a short interval can use a week of usage in a day (Cursor help: Routines), and larger or longer agent jobs use more (Cursor help: Plans and billing). Long chats carry more history behind every turn, so a fresh chat per task helps too.

Is this the same as the Grok Bot usage planner?

No. This page is a quick check: a few rows, one verdict and your top savings. The usage planner lists each routine, suggests merges and quiet hours routine by routine, and adds a CSV usage audit and a chat-history check.
