Best AI agent for review requests: get more Google reviews without spamming
Updated · by Rosh Perera
More reviews usually comes down to asking every happy customer at the right moment, in a short personal message with a direct link. Booking and invoicing tools often have a built-in review request. An AI agent can do better on the personal touch: it drafts a request that names the job and goes out after you approve the day's list. This page covers the options, a template and the rules. To answer the reviews you get, see AI review replies. Not sure which job fits your business first? Answer 5 quick questions in our free planner.

Option 1: built-in requests
Many booking, invoicing and field-service tools can send a review request when a job is marked done. Turn it on first if you have it. The message is usually generic.
Option 2: an agent drafts a personal ask
Each evening, the agent reads today's completed jobs and drafts a 3-line message per customer that names the job, thanks them and links your review page. You approve the list.
Option 3: a workflow with a delay
In n8n or Zapier, a 'job done' event waits a set time, then drafts the request and sends it to you to approve. Good when you have volume.
Get the timing right
Ask soon after the job, when the result is fresh: same evening for a service visit, after delivery for an order. One reminder at most.
Route unhappy replies to you
If a customer replies with a complaint, the agent flags it and drafts nothing. You call them.
Copy-ready prompt
Every day at 18:00, read jobs marked "done" today in [job sheet or invoicing export] (columns: first name, contact, job, done date). For each customer, draft a review request (max 3 lines): "Hi [name], thanks for having us for the [job] today. If you have a minute, a review helps a small business like ours a lot: [review link]." Rules: - Same message for every customer. No rewards or discounts for reviews. - Skip anyone marked "complaint", "unpaid" or "do not contact". - If anyone replies unhappy, flag "call them" and draft nothing. - Don't send. Post the list for my approval.
Works as a Grok Bot routine, a ChatGPT scheduled task or a Claude project instruction. Fill in the [brackets] first. It only writes drafts.

Ready-made use cases
- 01Ask every customer for a review, with your OK on each day's list
After each completed job the agent drafts the same friendly review request, with your Google link, for every customer. You approve the day's list in one go, then it sends. It flags any complaint that comes back to you.
~2h/week · estimate - 02FAQ support in your voice, with your OK on every reply
The agent drafts replies to common customer questions from your docs and hands off anything tricky. You approve them one at a time or in a batch. Auto-sending simple FAQ answers is an optional upgrade.
~8h/week · estimate - 03Win back and upsell past customers
The agent finds past customers due for a repeat job or upgrade and drafts an offer.
~3h/week · estimate - 04Appointment reminders that cut no-shows, with your OK on each day's list
Each afternoon the agent drafts reminders for tomorrow's appointments. You approve the list in one go (approve all, edit or remove), then it sends. Reschedule replies wait for your OK too. Sending without review is an optional upgrade.
~3h/week · estimate - 05Metrics digest without opening dashboards
The agent pulls your key numbers from Stripe, analytics and your store into one daily message.

Example: Grok Bot setup
Grok Bot routine: Ask every customer for a review, with your OK on each day's list Schedule: Daily 18:00 Every evening, draft the same short thank-you message with my Google review link: [Google review link], for every customer whose job/order completed today. Send me one numbered list: the customer's name, how you'll reach them (text or email) and the message. Wait for my approval. When I reply approve, send each message exactly as drafted. If I reply edit, make my change to the message and show me again. If I don't answer, send nothing and put the list at the top of tomorrow's. The same ask goes to everyone, whatever rating you expect. My approval is for the wording and timing, not for picking who gets asked, so never leave a customer off the list because they might be unhappy. Don't check satisfaction first to decide who gets the link, don't ask for a positive or 5-star review, and don't offer anything in return. Optional: add one line inviting private feedback by reply; it never replaces the link. If anyone replies with a complaint, draft a brief apology for me to approve and alert me immediately with details. (Sending automatically without the daily approval is an optional upgrade once you trust the wording, and it still goes to every customer.) Rules: draft first, never send or post anything external without my approval. Keep summaries short.

Setup steps
- Get your direct review link from your Google Business Profile.
- Check whether your booking or invoicing tool already sends review requests.
- Paste the prompt below and run it on yesterday's jobs.
- Approve the list every evening for two weeks.
- Track new reviews weekly and keep the timing that works.
Keep these human
- Ask every customer the same way. Platforms such as Google don't allow offering rewards for reviews or asking only happy customers (review gating); check the current policy for each site you use.
- Never write reviews for customers or post them yourself.
- Respect opt-outs and send at most one reminder.
- Start in draft mode: the agent prepares, you approve, then loosen the leash one routine at a time.

FAQ
What is the best AI tool for getting more reviews?
Whatever lets you ask every customer quickly and personally. Start with your tool's built-in request, or have an agent draft a personal ask for your OK.
Can AI write Google reviews for my customers?
No. Reviews must come from customers. AI can only help you ask and reply.
Is it OK to only ask happy customers?
Google's policies don't allow selectively asking for positive reviews. Ask everyone the same way and handle complaints personally.
How many reminders should I send?
One at most, a few days after the first ask.
