24 real ways small business owners use Grok Bot

Updated · by Rosh Perera. Short quotes are taken from public posts; each owner is credited and linked.

Small business owners mostly use Grok Bot to sort and draft: inbox replies, lead follow-ups, quotes from photos, bookkeeping prep and review replies, with the owner approving anything a customer sees. This page collects 24 public posts on X, written between 18 September and 18 October 2026, where owners describe what they hand to Grok Bot, each credited and linked. The list covers a kebab shop, a pest control company, a glamping hire business, a Christmas light installer, a one-person design studio, consultants, agencies and more.

Each entry credits the owner by their @handle and links to the original post, so you can read the full context yourself. The most common pattern is that the bot prepares, sorts and drafts, and the owner approves anything that goes to a customer. Use it to pick your own first job for the bot.

What these owners have in common

  • Specific, boring jobs. They describe concrete tasks such as review replies, receipt matching, a morning inbox check or a quote page, not vague "AI magic".
  • Drafts first, owner approves. The kebab shop's review replies, the design studio's emails, the self-employed owner's bookkeeper email and the scored lead pitches all wait for a yes before they reach a customer.
  • They connected tools they already use, such as QuickBooks, Xero, Zoho Books, GoHighLevel, Uber Eats and DoorDash, email and their own website.

FAQ

What is Grok Bot?

Grok Bot is xAI's bot builder. You create personal agents that connect to apps such as email, calendars, accounting and CRMs, run routines on a schedule and hand work to each other. The owners on this page use it for admin work like inbox sorting, quotes, bookkeeping and review replies. Plans and features change, so check xAI's own pages for current details. Our Grok Bot setup guide walks through the first steps.

What do small businesses use Grok Bot for most?

In the 24 posts we collected, bookkeeping and invoices came up most often (6 owners), followed by leads, follow-up and CRM work (5) and quotes and estimates (4). Inbox and email, reviews/website/content and back-office admin came up 3 times each. This is a small hand-picked sample of public posts, not a survey.

Do these owners let Grok Bot reply to customers on its own?

Mostly no. The common pattern is that the bot drafts and the owner approves. The kebab shop owner approves every review reply before it posts. The design studio owner approves inbox replies and designs. Another owner says nothing goes to a customer or partner until he approves it. We left out setups that post or sell on their own. We recommend the same approach in our safety guide: start drafts-only, then loosen one routine at a time.

How did you choose these examples?

We searched public posts on X from 18 Sep to 18 Oct 2026 for owners and solo operators describing their own Grok Bot use. We left out news accounts, vendors pitching a product, xAI staff, posts built on unverifiable revenue claims and setups that post or sell to customers automatically. Each entry quotes the owner's own words (25 words or fewer) and links to the full post.

My business uses Grok Bot. Can I be added?

Yes. Post what your bot does on X and tag us, or send it through our submit page. We update this roundup about every two weeks and credit every owner by @handle with a link to their post.

WhatShouldMyBotDo is independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by xAI or X. Grok and Grok Bot are xAI's products. The quotes on this page come from public posts on X. Each owner is credited by @handle with a link to the original post, and we've kept quotes short and unedited (an ellipsis marks skipped words). Featuring a post doesn't mean the owner endorses WhatShouldMyBotDo, and the results described are their own experience. If you're featured and want a change or removal, contact us and we'll update the page.
