How does the Grok Bot free trial work, and how do I make it count?

It's a usage credit, not a free plan and not a set number of days. Cursor's help says "The Grok Bot free trial is a usage credit rather than a set number of days, though a 7-day window also applies." So spend it on a single small, useful task you can judge, not on a big build. Ongoing Grok Bot access is on Premium, Super and Ultra; "Plus and Free don't include it."   • Routines during the trial

    "A routine that never runs doesn't spend usage. Test does, because it performs the work." (Cursor's Routines help). So set up the routine you'd want long term, test it once on a small input, and leave the schedule wide while you're on trial credit.

  • Cancelling and the iPhone trial

    "There is no charge to cancel, and the Grok Bot trial never becomes a paid plan." Use Cancel Trial on the plan screen; it ends the trial and removes what's left. An iPhone App Store offer is a separate thing: "An App Store intro offer is different from the Grok Bot usage-credit trial."
